China's largest memory chip maker YMTC is planning to build two additional fabs in Wuhan beyond its Phase 3 plant, potentially tripling wafer output. The company has crossed a major milestone by sourcing over half of Phase 3's equipment from Chinese suppliers, marking a significant shift away from Western dependency after US export restrictions.
