The Challenge
Saudi enterprises need three things at once: their workforce trained in business English (without the global apps that mark Khaleeji accents as 'errors'), their professional skills calibrated to giga-projects like NEOM and Red Sea, and their Saudization compliance reporting actually defensible to MHRSD audits. Today they buy three platforms — Coursera for skills, a tutor for language, a spreadsheet for Nitaqat — and stitch them together. The stitching breaks.
Global EdTech is structurally unable to fix this. Building Khaleeji-aware AI tutoring requires a phoneme dataset that no commercial API ships with. Building Saudization compliance requires deep familiarity with Nitaqat colour bands, HRDF subsidy rules, and the way MHRSD audits actually work. None of this is 18 months of localisation — it's a moat.
The team also knew they were entering a market where signal density beats marketing. Saudi VCs receive 500–2,000 decks a year and fund 1–3% of them. Itqan needed to be pitched into the right programs in the right order — Misk → TAQADAM → Flat6Labs → SDAIA — with credibility evidence stacked before any cold outreach.
Our Solution
Three-engine architecture in a single platform. (1) Gulf AI Tutor — a fine-tuned Arabic-English LLM calibrated on Khaleeji speech, scoring pronunciation without penalising regional accents. (2) Workforce Skills LMS — industry-specific tracks for oil, finance, hospitality, and giga-projects, including Islamic business etiquette and cross-cultural training. (3) Saudization Dashboard — real-time Nitaqat band tracking, auto-mapped HRDF reporting, audit-ready by design.
KSA-sovereign infrastructure from day one. PDPL-compliant data residency, SAMA-ready security posture, NCA-aligned access controls. Hosted on STC Cloud / Oracle Cloud Riyadh region — not 'we'll figure it out before the audit'.
