Hyderabad’s urban infrastructure has received a significant boost with the inauguration of the Zoological Park flyover. This new, bi-directional flyover is poised to improve traffic flow in one of the city’s most congested areas, connecting Aramghar with the Nehru Zoological Park.
The newly constructed Aramghar-Nehru Zoological Park flyover is the second longest flyover in Hyderabad, measuring 4 kilometers in length. With six lanes, this flyover is designed to alleviate the heavy traffic congestion on the high-density corridor, which is part of the key Hyderabad-Bangalore National Highway. The flyover has been constructed at a cost of approximately Rs 800 crore.
This flyover is expected to ease traffic jams in one of the busiest sections of Hyderabad, offering smoother commutes for locals and travelers. The enhanced connectivity between Aramghar and the Nehru Zoological Park will significantly reduce travel time, benefiting daily commuters and tourists visiting the famous zoo.
On Monday, Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy inaugurated the flyover, naming it after the late former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh as a tribute. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy highlighted the flyover as a testament to the government’s commitment to urban development under the ‘Hyderabad Rising’ mission.
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy also recalled the completion of the P. V. Narasimha Rao Expressway, Hyderabad’s longest flyover, which was built during the tenure of former Chief Minister Y. S. Rajashekhara Reddy. This new flyover is the second longest in Hyderabad, showcasing the city’s continued growth and development.
The Aramghar-Nehru Zoological Park flyover is a landmark project that demonstrates the city’s rapid infrastructure expansion, improving both connectivity and traffic conditions. This development is part of Hyderabad’s larger urban vision to become a modern, well-connected metropolis.
